Hyundai N Vision 74 — a hydrogen sports car nobody asked for but everyone wants

Hyundai launching a hydrogen-electric sports car in the same half-year as McLaren, Bugatti and Ferrari are dropping hybrid hypercars is a genuinely interesting counter-bet. Nobody was clamouring for a retro-styled hydrogen coupe, and yet the N Vision 74 concept has had car enthusiasts obsessing over it for years. Hydrogen has always struggled with infrastructure rather than the tech itself being bad — fast refuelling, no battery weight penalty, water as the only tailpipe output. If any manufacturer has the fuel-cell expertise and patience to actually bring a halo car like this to a limited production run, it's probably Hyundai. Anyone think hydrogen sports cars have a real future, or is this a beautiful dead end?
