McLaren 750S — 2 months ownership, honest review

I traded my 720S for the 750S in January. Two months in, here's where I stand: WHAT'S BETTER: the steering rack is sharper — genuinely a step up. Active dynamics are more intuitive. The new 4.0 twin-turbo feels freer at the top end, though the 29 hp gain isn't dramatic on road. WHAT'S THE SAME (good): the ride quality in comfort mode is still shocking for a car that does 0-100 in 2.8s. The visibility through that curved windscreen. The hydraulic suspension doing its magic. WHAT I MISS: the 720S was lighter-feeling. The 750S feels slightly more planted and less nervous — some will love that, I occasionally miss the knife-edge quality of the 720. Verdict: Best two-seat supercar you can actually use. Every day. In traffic. In the rain.

The '918 successor' framing is going to be controversial precisely because the 918 earned its reputation partly through the theatre of the hybrid system working in concert with a combustion engine. A pure EV proving the same engineering ambition is a fair claim, just a different flavour of it.
